She holds 100% ownership (Fee Simple Title) via a Warranty Deed #372447 recorded January 16, 2018 at 4:16 p.m. Virtually every lot in the Fromberg Blewett Addition is 50 sq. feet by 140 sq. feet. Why isn’t the Mayor or someone on her staff able to perform simple research tasks?
Are you serious, this is Fromberg and historically, city hall does as it pleases!! (Like making statements as to how some resident’s places are tacky looking so it doesn’t matter that they added to it!) A responsible player would look at the task at hand, take responsibility for it, and fix the issue correctly, all while being very apologetic. It’s called having moral integrity. (It’s funny how some people think they can say I’m sorry, I did it, and it is supposedly all over.) These are people that are never to be trusted again, as they’re simply going through the motions for appearances. It’s City Hall’s answer. Cover up, pull out a shovel and throw something on it!!! All the while expecting us to swallow their vile garbage with a smile. Research, due diligence, integrity, professionalism, a true sense of caring for the community? Those qualities were left outside the doorstep at city hall! They never made it inside!
I have not looked at this site for some time now. The issue of Mr. MacKenzies’ lot has come up AFTER the council had approved it. As the only remaining
person on the committee, met with Mr. MacKenzie two months before he even bought the property. He visited with Brenda (clerk), she called me and Mike Ventling (who was trimming trees at the park) and asked him to come to the property. He was not able to locate pins at that time. Mr. MacKenzie was in negotiations with the bank and was not sure he was going to be able to buy at the time. He said he would like to put a shop on the lot if he purchased. Mike did not run a tape, but did step off the measurements the clerk had given Mr. MacKenzie in a copy of the ordinance. From the alley (15′ and 25′ from the street center. ) Mr. Mackenzie mentioned a storage shed (ordinance said, 6′ from fence). those were the measurements we looked at with the information given at the time. There was not a rush to approve the application, and although the applicants for zoning were at the meeting, not one question was raised at that time. The concern came several days later, after approval, when a member of the committee made several calls to council and others to voice concerns and get them to reconsider their vote. A legal opinion given, is that reconsideration is very rare, the council had approved the application from Mr. MacKenzie and he was told by the clerk that it was good to go. We are ALL at fault here. I have checked the sign in sheets for the last four years and a few that voiced concerns have NEVER been to a council meeting until they were called.
Now the gravel had been delivered, tamped in and the posts had been set. If he was assured the the lot was 70′ wide, the fault like with him because he did not have a legal description to show us and with me because I did not ask. A mention at the meeting concerning 6 other buildings in question was commented on. So, after a year or several, are we going to go back, reconsider and demand that they be moved or replaced? This whole thing is getting out of hand and could be solved and move on.

There has much said about Mike Ventling resigning from his position with the town. He did resign. I asked him to take a couple of weeks to think it over. He said no. Some are raving about how the town is losing an honest, hard working , very dedicated employee, and how much he loved his job and the town. A man that lived and believed in those values, would have never left a nice job, walked out and left not only the town, but another new employee flapping in the wind. In the past, Mike has threatened, made demands and thrown temper tantrums with the Council and former Mayor. The town through all this, did everything they could to accommodate Mike. If he had had employment else where he would have terminated on the spot!! According to another website, the town will drown in disrepair and die a slow agonizing death. Every one can be replaced!! They are laying the blame at the feet of one council person. Yes he made a motion to review employee hours, it has been brought up in the past, by another council person who has been on the council a long time. So this is nothing new.
Mike shot himself in the foot, and at the same time tried his best to make the town suffer with his show of bravado. This is not a big deal, it has happened before and it will happen in the future. Plans have been put in place weeks before his departure from the town, simply because of attitude and statements made before and after elections. The town has already got interview dates for potential applicants.
As far as the claptrap on these sites, including this one, it is sour grapes and an intent to tear the community apart. Instead of putting all your negative efforts into damaging the town and the council, why not step up and put some positive energy into mending the damage you have done? The ball is the court of those who can’t find the positive.
Find out the facts before making assumptions, don’t be afraid to use your real names. I am positive all of these people are good people, but my suggestion is to put on your grown up panties and act like the common sense adults you purport to be, instead of like a couple of packs of jackels fighting over a carcass seeing who can garner the most attention spewing hate and discontent .

Where are the responsible governing individuals that are supposed to represent us as a town? This is far beyond wrong and the excuses and reasoning are lost! From the utube video where we have council members commenting on other (tacky) properties. Mayor Miller going through 4 years of sign in sheets as to who has attended a council meeting before. Let me give you something to think about. If I’m driving down the road and someone pulls out and side swiped me they get a ticket, if I don’t have proper documentation at the accident the officer tickets me as well. But nowhere in this equation have I ever heard ‘you’re driving junk’ so it doesn’t matter!! That’s like when some 90 year old man gets shot and a insensitive idiot says well he was 90 so the shooter should walk cause the old man’s life was nearly over anyway.
