Well don’t you (Admin) sound as if you are to trying to cause trouble with your inaccurate posts. Did you, in fact, speak to Mr Vargas to confirm this picture is of the community garden for Fromberg? No, I am sure you didn’t as the picture you posted with your ostracizing comments is his personal garden. You might consider getting the facts straight & verifying before broadcasting. Shame on you. Why can’t you embrace this idea and promote it for the good of all, instead of being so negative?

Well the good of the town was not to sell it for peanuts in the first place. If you and yours want to do some good give the land back to the people it belongs to. When was the last time you spent money on main street? Have you gone to any of the fromberg improvement commity meetings? Have you interacted with the people who have been here for years trying to do what you profess. The vargass way or no way is that it? Nothing but vile spews from this rag blog! The photo shows Wayne Vargas’s personal garden spot( go verify it for yourself, I dare you!), the community garden is to the NE of his house. All I’m adding is that when certain people moved into this community 2-3 yrs ago, some claiming to have been from here, the hatred started and now there is such a split in our community, it may very well be permanent damage. We, personally supported local business on main street, yes even the bar/ eatery but some of the local business owners have made it clear that they don’t wish to have business from some. So let’s speak of “My way of the Highway Mr. Randy Wike! So it’s about supporting your issues and you and your likeminded continue to proclaim that you are all for the betterment of the community, well, two times this past week there have been sand bag filling times. I was there both times, yet we didn’t see you, or any other business owners there, no Mayor, no Council members, this isn’t about anything but hateful, evil attitudes and the fact that you’d all rather sit on your hands and spew from your mouths the vile words and attacks! This flood could impact the whole East side of Fromberg, evacuation warnings are in place and yet the ONLY local people who came there either day, were locals along the river, persons running for Commisioner positions, DES, Fromberg Volunteer Firemen, and a few locals from the west side of Fromberg. Today we had a pitiful showing of locals( possibly affected by flooding or not), people from Joliet, Laurel, Billings, and Billings Heights, again NONE of the mouth pieces who go around saying they want a better community, no council members( two of which could be impacted as well) no Mayor and when asked if the town’s backhoe could be used to transport pallets filled with sand bags to the Fire Hall, the answer was “NO!” So that speaks volumes to those who may be impacted, our town Mayor, council, and majority of the citizens due to their lack of involvement would just as soon see half or it’s town ruined and underwater. So speak about, ” My way or the Highway” again Randy! Even the children of our town see it in vivid color. V is for Vendetta, not community building, but you and the likeminded seem to speak from both sides of your faces, depends on the given day. Let that sink in for a minute Randy.

In the first place, the town council and mayor were not even informed of this sandbagging effort before hand. When the backhoe was requested it was not to move bags of sand, the actual conversation was ” to fill sandbags”. You don’t use a backhoe to “fill” sandbags. Most of the people that comment on this site grew up here and have lived for years. The Mayor and Council have been fully informed of a possible flood since March. There many agencies that work together and THEY are the incident commanders, and THEY along with the town do the planning. If you look at all the events that have been going on, every person running for office was at one or another.. it’s called getting a vote!!! No, the Mayor and Council were not at the site, we were attending meetings every day, getting updates and planning for the POSSIBILITY of flooding. The east side of the community was well informed and were prepared for evacuation , IF needed. These people have lived in this community for many, many years and have been through this many, many times and they are well aware of what is needed. Yes, there some negative comments on this site, but many, many on other sites as well. Negativity and deliberate division did not start here, it started in August 2017. Fromberg is a close knit community and has been for 100 yrs or more
so don’t come in and tell us how horrible we are. It is not a vendetta or animosity, it is simply careful and thoughtful planning, not running around like Chicken Little yelling “the sky is falling”. You have to be careful about shooting from the hip, you might shoot yourself in the foot. Oh, about 98% of the people in this community know the truth.

It is sad that some people can’t comprehend the Fact that this rag blog is based on fact. They bash me. The town government and the mayor and use words like vile and negative and don’t see that they are the ones dividing a town worse than it was already divided. It is the way of Fromberg and always has been. I noticed that none of the questions I raised were addressed. The whole town has flooded in the past and it will again, it’s called a flood plain. Hope sand bags can fix it.
