Town Of Fromberg Quit Claimed East Half of Proposed Alley Block 5, TOF O.P. to Perkins

QUIT CLAIM DEED (Document #371570) shows that on October 3, 2017, the Town Of Fromberg quit claimed the “Easterly one half of proposed alley (10’x 210.82″) in Block 5 of the original Plat of the Town of Fromberg, located in the NW1/4 NE1/4 of Section 20, T.5S, R23E. P.M.M. Carbon County, Montana.” unto James A. Perkins, Sr and Anita A. Perkins. Said QUIT CLAIM DEED was prepared by Hope Freeman, Attorney for the Town of Fromberg.

On July 3, 2018 @ 07:40  Shirley Miller (photo below) stated the following: “…What I said was, that MY deed states that I own the property to the street on both sides of my fence-line. I maintain it, pay taxes on it, but have granted an easement to the town…”

Obviously, the Town of Fromberg does indeed “own” its streets and alleys. Otherwise there would be no need to execute a QUIT CLAIM DEED in order to transfer a portion of a “vacated” alley to an adjacent property owner.
