“This was kinda ill conceived from the beginning…” Hope Freeman 2.11.2019. tfa asks the following:
- Should this position have been ‘contract labor’? Should it rather have been a ‘temporary hire’? Mr. Gruel points out said work was to be done at Town Hall. Is this a violation of Montana FSLA?
- Did either Janet Freed or Audrey Walleser provide a completed ‘Application for Independent Contractor Exemption Certificate’? ie: http://erd.dli.mt.gov/Portals/54/Documents/Work-Comp-Regs/dli-erd-wcr003.pdf If so, tfa asks that said Exemption Certificates be made public.
- In tfa’s previous post:http://the-fromberg-advocacy.com/town-of-fromberg-100000-missing-bank-statements-not-reconciled-since-2001/ Mayor Miller states Resolution #484 (in actuality, Resolution #486, per photographic documentation below) must be passed because: “We are scraping the bottom of the barrel administration budget”. Certainly the Mayor and Council should have ascertained administration fund availability prior to hiring any other personnel for any other administrative tasks.
- tfa requests copy of said ‘contract’, with all its stipulations, be made public. Prudence dictates that any contract entered into by the Town of Fromberg, first be presented to and reviewed by Town Attorney Hope Freeman, prior to any action taken upon it.

$1200 a month for audrey. Plus new clerk’s salary and benefits. Plus kristen sweet bridger city’s wages. Plus temp clerk janet’s pay after kansala left. Plus new web page guy burt. No wonder the clerical fund is broke! $100,000 missing in a town of 400 souls is $2500 each. Aren’t these crimes? felonies in fact? Isn’t anybody watching? Isn’t anybody going to investigate this?
It’s inconceivable we are paying all these employees when we could have hired a highly qualified individual that did not require training to begin with! Maybe Mayor Miller and the council would like to reimburse all of us taxpayers for that, along with the missing hundred thousand. Generally speaking, most towns missing substantial sums of money don’t have a town clerk looking for it. This matter whould be referred to the Montana municipal inter-local authority or some other official agency. Incompetency at it’s highest. It only takes one look at the self-indulgent, narcissistic, moron leading the show to understand why.
