Per the following link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1vKj9Tb2IU9IxzSSnJZyUaYRvOqcmGexT tfa has yet to receive any response whatsoever with regard to their FOIA Mackenzie Pin Location Survey Request made to the Town of Fromberg on June, 29, 2018. tfa was finally provided a copy of the Mackenzie Pin Location Survey by the Carbon County, Montana Clerk of The District Court on March 8, 2018. The Town of Fromberg has a long history of ignoring Freedom Of Information Requests. It is a sad state of affairs, when its easier to obtain documents via the Court System than it is locally in Fromberg Town Hall.
“Our Republic and its press will rise or fall together. An able, disinterested, public-spirited press, with trained intelligence to know right and courage to do it, can preserve that public virtue without which popular government is a sham and a mockery.” Quote is attributed to: Montana Freedom of Information Hotline Inc. ie: http://montanafoi.org/ has been instrumental in advising tfa on procedures to pursue with regard to FOIA requests!

Would appear as if the town was trying to cover up, if they would not comply with a simple request for public information. Maybe they could take a lesson or two from the county. If the town was too unincorporate they would no longer be troubled with such a mundane menial task, if you ask me it’s this blatantly dishonest, disrespectful, attitude at City Hall that drives the wedge in our town. The right to public information should be protected and valued as equally as our freedom of speech. So when City Hall becomes incensed over the verbiage they receive they might step back and look at the role they played in creating the unwanted remarks..
