Why Isn’t TOF’s Following Proposal Posted on: http://www.fromberg-mt.com/?

tfa requests all citizens and property owners of Fromberg to specifically note the following items on Page 1. Expandable Google docs link follows: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1piTsO8cp1n2yJni72VWaYgylR5d574fJ

5. Topography: Will need some leveling and filling“.”Some”? The specific slope of this property top to bottom needs to be  professionally ascertained.

8. Cost: Land cost is negotiable (low cost or donation). County will be responsible for connecting to the Town of Fromberg’s utility infrastructure“. Fromberg taxpayers are asked to provide this 39.7 acre parcel at little or no cost, in addition to paying for the increased infrastructure needs caused by this proposed facility?

9. Proximity to Dense Residential or Industrial Use: The property is approximately ¼ mile south of the Town of Fromberg’s city limits and then approximately ½ mile west on McCormick Lane“. tfa begs to differ. One mile is 5280 linear feet. Therefore ¼ mile would be 1320 linear feet. The scale on the following Montana Cadastral map of said property proves the above mileages given by TOF to be underestimated. And, that measurement only goes to the very edge of the property that is unaccessable by any road.

tfa posted the following story  on 1.2.2020, and the Carbon County News specifically stated: ““The 40-acre site”…”several miles east of the town along McCormick Road” link follows: http://the-fromberg-advocacy.com/fromberg-throws/

  1. There’s a public opinion piece that follows in the Carbon County News addressing the Detention Center that is quite comprehensive and well expressed. I do believe it echoes a number of Carbon County Residents sentiments! Well done John Harwood!

  2. bizness as be usual in de ol berg. dis hear preposal wen’t dun 2 goot! mist leeding n full a lyes. no mapt be showd who be owned what. de grade uppta de olde dumpt be weight steep.road bilding be’d pensive der!

  3. This proposal is a travesty. Serious errors of misrepresentation have been made. Could it’s author be sued criminally and/or civilly for including such false information while preparing a bid proposal for a local governmental contract?

  4. Number 9. the only thing dense in this town is the clerk and the mayor. and well maybe some council members. reallY? who puts out paperwork like this? I’d get fired if i handed something like this into my boss.

  5. I have a problem with this flipping proposal! WZhen the hell did Fromberg City Council vote to offer land at low cost or donation? When the hell did the council view this piece of crap proposal and vote to approve it? Looks like a skunk and smells like Mayor Miller’s dirty underwear! Which by the way. I suggest she start wearing on her head! My gawd, we have a clerk and a Mayor to oversee and between the two they act as if they share one flipping brain cell! The stupidity that pours out of City Hall is a deplorable travesty! Mayor Miller, you are a incompetent moron who has no remote comprehension of anything other than decimating our community! Fromberg Town Council should be ashamed of this! Ask Fromberg residents to sign a survey, and then the County posts the proposal put forth? And the Town of Fromberg doesn’t even mention it? Why not show the actual facts before requesting a survey other than to skew a survey! This is a disgusting vial embarrassment! No wonder we’re the laughing stock of the County!

  6. My scull has a cramp just trying to understand the stupidity and no thought process of this ill-conceived proposal. Some one should run and hide this is embarrassing!

  7. Ridiculous! The town now has the free will to donate land! No less screw the taxpayers! When the hell was this even discussed let alone voted on at a council meeting? Or is this a Shirley executive decision? Did someone think to inform us the taxpayers? I have a hot poker if the Mayor would care to stand in a particular position I could accommodate her in preforming a surgical lobotomy,
Then there would be a viable excuse for her stupidity other than her late night drinking sessions! Apparently the decision making process is a little pickled! Citizens disrespected again!

  8. What, Mayor Miller thinks she’s capable of negotiating a responsible deal that financially benefits the Town of Fromberg? This will have me laughing for months. Not to mention the legal implications!

  9. Trump can negotiate a deal, Mayor Miller has a hard time negotiating her flapping gums. Delusional if she thinks she is doing us a favor! Dangerous next she’ll be passing out kool-aid!

  10. I remember the Town of Fromberg thought they could sell this piece of land before. Rich Anderson was either on the council or was the Mayor. What stands out to me is they chose not to because of the possible legal issues that could arise. You notice it says approximately five to ten acres were used for the dump. That’s a big difference in a estimation! It’s fair to say that probably every thing from paint thinner, oil, pesticides, tires etcetera dumped there. you have no idea as to how much soil contamination there is. Don’t we have enough legal issues as it is without adding to them? If you were smart you would keep leasing it for horse pasture.

  11. All we’ve had in Fromberg from Town Hall is lies and B.S.! Wasn’t it just a year ago that we had a clerk and Mayor telling us they were getting a new website and how wonderful it would be!!!! You can always re-watch it again on YouTube. So if you think this purposed site for the Detention Center is awesome just wait till you see the actual facts of Miller’s proposal! Chances are, all of us will pay for it out of OUR pocket books. Fromberg residents and taxpayers have a right to expect Mayor and Council to bargain well on our behalf! That means not giving our 39.7 acre site away for ‘low cost or by donation’! How about their only stipulation was that the detention center hook up to Fromberg water and sewer? It would cost Fromberg hundreds of thousands of dollars in basic infrastructure alone to accommodate 100 inmates. This is a poorly conceived proposal. Just like every other thing that comes from Town Hall. Short sighted and probably corrupted!
