Weeds are rampant all over. In the city canal, streets, curbs and etc. Everybody is expected to deal with it except the city maintenance men. I carry a garbage bag and a pair of clippers in my pocket when I walk downtown. If I see a noxious weed, I clip it out, bag it and dispose of it. I have done it on the streets, in the alleys and in neighbors yards. No big deal. I was told that “I don’t weedeat”. Ok. Marge Taylor and others have dug and sprayed goatheads in different sections of town. Is it fair for them to be doing the work of the city?? Spending their time and money??? It is time ti demand action from city hall and the Mayor. Sorry, I kind of got ahead of my tongue.
These are not goatheads… but they are a weed that will drop seeds and spread like crazy if you don’t get rid of them early. They are very prolific and will soon take over and kill the grass.
