Town Hall will have been closed for over 1 month by Monday, August 17, 2020, with no official statement ever having been put forth. How can this be legal?

Does the clerk get paid periodically too? Like ahhh only when decides due might want show up. And we have to pay for this insanity on top of having no access? OH, I asked about the bills I was swiftly informed that because of the COVID crisis the mayor was allowed to approve the town bills without council approval.
Reasonably confident the COVID-19 Resolution (signed late i might add) only allows a Mayor to make decisions regarding actual COVID-19 issues. It does not give any Mayor the power to conduct town business without the benefit of town council meetings along with attendant public participation.
You know about 3.5 yrs ago there was a group of employees trying to share what they saw going on, yet they were all the problem. Some of us have been awake a lot longer than others and when trying to share the handwriting on the wall, there was no support, in fact we were pegged as troublemakers and way off base. My, my how the tides have changed. There are former employees that know things that would blow everyone’s minds and it’s all swept up by the council and the Mayor.
Realist, I hafta agree with you. I thought things would get better. They haven’t. In fact they are in the tank. Never seen this level of mismanagement in any local government I’ve ever had contact with.all over this nation. Every other city government in this county is open and functioning. Maybe in a different fashion but totally functioning. I never really understood how bad management could get. Realist, I’ve learned I was wrong. Don’t think the town can puLL out of this mess. I think that’s the real reason town halls closed. Its so bad I think mayer and Council are just sticking their heads in the sand. Ostriches they are. At least ostriches have nice feathers and slender necks.
