tfa posted the following article questioning the cost and efficacy of TOF”s “latest” website” ie: http://www.fromberg-mt.com/Agenda on March 17, 2019 at the following link: http://the-fromberg-advocacy.com/total-costs-http-www-fromberg-mt-com/
tfa notes substantial time and monies were devoted to this “latest” website just 18 months ago. tfa further notes Bridger Town Clerk Kirsten Sweet had no trouble posting several documents to the site as evidenced below. Mayor and council held discussion regarding said site during the 9.8.2020 “BUDGET WORKSHOP” meeting (approximate 6.09 minute mark). They now suggest yet another costly revamp to the town web page. The pertaining You.Tube meeting clip follows: https://youtu.be/CjStnZ2j6PE .

TOF budget constraints make it more economically feasible to provide a document upload training tutorial session for the clerk in order that she might utilize the existing site rather than revamping the entire website in the current economic climate.
Obsolescence does not render http://www.fromberg-mt.com/Agenda useless.

It was Jann who openly boasted at a meeting that once the Town purchased the video camera and disc’s and her new computer. She would upload it for all to observe on the Town’s website. Without ever once considering what that might involve. She never once expressed at all what it would require till long after. She sure will inform you tho she worked at Gateway Computer Software… Here’s the farce, I’m sure any of those individuals who were employed there could have easily uploaded additional information to the present network page. That is, all but our current Town clerk! You understand, many of those people could have also developed a web page. Our Town Clerk is not one of those individuals. If you’ve watched her preform her job, she lacks many skill sets. Yes, someone will whine and cry…the clerk is being picked on boo hoo! No, the Clerk has opened herself up to scrutiny when she expressed what she could do and failed to be able to complete the tasks set before her. Had she declared in the beginning it’s difficult and time consuming to load a podcast to the network, that would have shown us she knew what she was talking about! If you watch her preform her work it’s almost sad. A prime example is the recent preliminary budget meeting. Where the Mayor was trying to convince the council to pay overtime on an employee for anything over thirty-two hours a week. Jann’s argument was Kristen, and Amber told her it was wrong. While all three are all right. what needed to happen was right at our clerk’s fingertips. Go to the Montana state website. Better yet use the hugely expensive black mountain software support system to find out the answer yourself. It’s not rocket science if you have ever done payroll. This clerks’s been on the job 2YEARS!The Mayor shouldn’t be calling tany parties at the sate level. She should be questioning the clerk’s abilities!
Rocket: you’re right, the clerk should have been the one contacting the state since she is the one doing payroll. Why she called local clerk’s rather than contacting with the proper authorities is beyond my understanding. Certainly way beyond the clerks for dang sure!
