A Resolution is required from the Town Fromberg, Montana in order for the Department of Revenue – (Carbon County Assessor’s office) to implement the mills set by the Town of Fromberg for their FY 2020-2021 budget. These amounts are then passed on to the County Treasurer’s office in order that their office might send out the necessary subsequent tax statements to property owners within the Town of Fromberg. For the record, a previous call to the Carbon Couty Treasurer’s office (also evidenced below) proved that the mills for the Town of Fromberg had indeed already been “set”.
tfa queries how said RESOLUTION 501 has been signed by Mayor Shirley Miller, and used in computation of the mills needed for TOF’s FY 2020-2021 budget, when in fact per the following legal notice publication in the October 1, 2020 edition of the Carbon Couty News, it specifically states TOF’s Preliminary Budget Hearing will not even be held until 10.15.2020 at 7:30PM MDT, 9 days hence? Additionally, neither TOF taxpayers nor residents were ever afforded the opportunity to comment on TOF’S FY 2020-2021 budget whatsover.
