Just videos??? A picture says a 1000 words plus the audio says another 1000. There are an awful lot informative posts on here that are informative. You sound alot like ex-mayor. Fromberg ordinances, montana state law, freedom of information law. Hell they are just drivel and not the least bit informative. Give me a break! And admin, well handled response. There seems to be a lack of thought or caring for community input. That is rather apparent when the aristocrat running the meeting, tells the gentleman who is requesting he wear a mask, that he may leave if he doesn’t like it. Apparently, the individual running the meeting has no regard for the health of those in the public. Then he spins the bull at the end of the meeting about individuals need to be direct in bringing for their concerns to the council, and it’s all about communication. I would say it’s more of the same, from the past three years! It’s not about the people, but some party who wants to strut and act important at a cost to the citizens. Why would anyone call to put forth a concern after viewing this? No wonder individuals have a bad taste after watching this. I totally get why the public chooses to comment here.
After watching the video of the Monday night meeting we just had in Fromberg, Montana, I am totally disheartened, dissolutioned and disgusted! The previous leadership did exactly what they wanted! Pushed things through without people knowing and now we have this mess! The council did what Mayor Shirley Miller dictated! And now this man is running to be mayor? He didn’t even uphold the health mandates given by the Governor! In that audience there were many who are elderly, have heart problems, have had strokes and are cancer survivors! How dare you risk exposing immunocompromised people by not wearing a mask Nottingham!
If you went in the county courthouse, the post office or any other governmental entity, you would be required to wear a mask, and asked to leave if you didn’t comply. I don’t know why the rest of the council didn’t reprimand Nottingham or have him removed.
Council please stand up and take a STAND! That is why you were voted in! People are angry, because, we the people, put the reins in your hands! You are our voice! We are tired of being run over roughshod! I don’t care if we can’t understand Nottingham through a mask. What he had to say was worthless anyway! I don’t care to hear him any more! It’s more of the same! He’s said the same for 4 years! The public pays the wages of the employees! Our town is a business! And it should be run like one! Councilman Dave Stapleton, who you can always hear loud and clear, may not agree with your comment, but he is at least willing to debate it. At least he actively seeks public comment! Mr. Nottingham, just likes to give you lip service: “Thank you for your comment”, pats you on the head and sends you off in some corner like a 3 year old. We, your constituents, are the adults in this room who pay dearly for the services we receive.
This represents us as a town? Go home if you don’t like it? Really? This is how one conducts themselves when they wish to be appointed Mayor? The best excuse he can come up with for not wearing a mask is: ‘you can’t understand me’? No! I don’t understand your behavior, your insensitivity towards individuals, or your immaturity to make this about YOU. It’s Covid-19 and when you choose to ignore science and act defiantly, it affects us ALL. If you don’t choose to wear your mask, provide access via a Zoom meeting or better yet, you follow your advice and stay home!
Again 400,000 dead in USA like that’s almost half a million!!
