Is the Town of Fromberg Preliminary Budget available for Viewing? We have yet to see any postings of it or even postings of Budget Meetings which the Public is certainly allowed to attend. We note this is neither a Temporary or Part Time Position. This job does not appear to be advertised locally. Posted neither on the window at Fromberg Town Hall nor on the bulletin board at the local Fromberg Post Office.
There is no logical reasoning this position should be a full time position. The job opening ad should be posted at the Town Hall, as well as, the Fromberg web page, insuring that the best candidates have a chance to apply (instead of limiting the options to those that are either known by the employee or current employee). Last I checked we are an equal opportunity employer, not the “good old boys” who just want to hire their friends when better candidates are available. It will be interesting to see if the council members are ask to the interviews, which is in fact the proper protocol (although some members of management seem to think that rules are just guidelines for them to follow when its convenient for them and not the people of this town) or if this is another backdoor deal done by the current Mayor!!!! I would be in hopes that whoever is selected, a vote taken before hire. In which the proper use of Roberts Rules of Order should be carried out. However, it is apparent that all elected officials and town attorney in Fromberg could use a refresher course in Parliamentary Procedure. Honestly though that’s like betting on a fat lady to win the race.
