June 21, 2017. Partial post from the “Fromberg Montana Happenings” fb page. “The Town Coucil met tonight concerning the bids on the new well.. which went well.” At the conclusion of the meeting, the aquisition of a roller for the street repair came up.” Per the above “Special” notice’s bottom line. “No other business will be discussed.” Why was the roller issue even brought up? Begs the question of what else gets discussed outside the parameters of open meeting laws.

The Public Meeting had closed at that point. But the “roller” was mentioned and maybe two questions about it were asked, at which point it was decided that it would be discussed at the July meeting of the Council. Which is appropriate for that situation. Nothing was discussed as far as the town expending funds at that time. I was unable to attend the June meeting and was not informed as to the contents of discussion. Had not seen the minutes for the meeting, which is an oversight on my part.
Both Councilman Nottingham and Councilperson Miller informed the office that they would not be in attendance for the meeting June 12th.
