And this AFTER at least 2 bids for aforementioned barley field have been received by Town Hall Clerk. One of these bids was discussed during the Town Council meeting of 8/7/2017. Please see blog post entitled: “TOF Council Mtg 8.7.2017 Part 1” to witness firsthand this discussion live via You-Tube.
Key words below are “Sealed bids”. It seems it is business as usual in Fromberg, where proscribed rules and procedures are rarely followed. It appears that the Mayor continues to flout his authority.

What the hell is your problem Shirley Miller? Get a life. Wow.
Yes, there have been offers on this piece of property. And there was interest in it and an offer made on 6 June 2015, which was rejected by the Town Council and Mayor. The interest resurfaced after two years. My concern was and is, after interest was presented, it should have been discussed at a separate meeting with all of the Council and the proper procedures should have been taken then. It was not. My concern here is not if and when the property gets sold or to who.
Recently my post to this site was copied and posted on Facebook, I did say that “there was some question” about this deal. The operative word being, ” some question” also that I had received questions about this. I answered as honestly as I could. The land was advertised after and only after, the Town Atty. said it should be. There are many questions that have been posed to me by members of the community. Is there a recent survey, a written appraisal, why wasn’t it advertised? The Town has already set a precedent in the advertisement and selling of the old City Shop.
I have a problem with not getting a direct answer from people. If a direct question is asked, it is a typical political “dance around the issue” and lets confuse people. If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS.
Just one item. After another offer was submitted, why was the first party that put in an offer allowed to see the second offer??? It was not “public information” and should have only been seen by the Mayor and Council. Bids are confidential until brought forward at an open meeting, at least that was the information I was given.
