Long term mayor & hired help including city attorney don’t know if barley field is a county or city property? How we sposed to believe whatever else that comes outta there mouths? Talk bout a circus! Step right up!
They were unsure whether it was in city limits or county. Several realtors said it was in the county, and the County Assessors Office said it was in the city limits, and had been annexed some time ago, but the papers were never filed. The town attorney has filed those papers. It was also said that the land was donated, but was sold to the city some years ago. I have since learned that the property had been surveyed as lots for low income Senior housing (?), but have not seen anything to prove that to be true. As far as the supposed annexation, I find nothing in the city code, resolutions or ordinances, going way back, to substantiate that. At least nothing that has been posted on the Fromberg City website. This will have to be looked into.
But the town attorney was sure it had been. Just some of the reasons and questions I have about the sale of the property at this time. It seems there is a large piece of many puzzles yet to be pieced together.
