Tract 1A of COS 288 AM, commonly known as the “Barley Field” was sold for $52,900. Pictured below is screen shot information regarding said parcel: ie TAX ID #2800700. 10.53 Acres which Carbon County values at: $56,643. Well all you Realtors, when was the last time you bought or sold ANY property “below” Carbon County’s Taxable Value? This “Walks like a Duck, Talks like a Duck”.

A whole flock of incompetent, ill-advised, dunces once again making a errant decision for those they supposedly serve! Respect and obligation to the Community would dictate the Barley Field sale be advertised thirty days in advance and that a public meeting be held as well. The Town of Fromberg would be in a much better position had the parcel been listed with a reputable realtor. This again brings into question Mrs. Vargas’s seemingly “altruistic” actions. She cares for Fromberg so much she wants to run for Mayor! Having lost that race, she then applies for an open Town Council vacancy! Her stance the entire time was: “don’t expect me to pay market value, I’m strictly here to fulfill my serving-serving agenda”! Some past and present Council Members have acted without giving considerate thought to what is best for our Town. Council person Shirley Miller made the grossly uninformed motion that sealed the bad deal on the Barley Field! Councilman Nottingham was the only one to oppose this ill-thought-out plan. Is is too much to ask that our elected representatives use an informative thought process before making grossly haphazard decisions that have irreparable consequences?
