Thank you for your excellent and informative work. What a great convenience to be able to listen when I like. Although I’m saddened not to have the utube video this time. I greatly appreciate the input some of the community members share on this site. It shows they have a stake in their neighborhood and value the right to have their voices heard. Keep up the good work!!
Better no name than wildly insane comments dispensed at city hall.
Councilmen, please step up and inform our Mayor she is continuing to act in a very unprofessional manner. She lectures at meetings and repeatedly treats people in a degrading manner. The latest is publicly stating who has not paid their business license fees. Which should be totally off limits, as it is the same as stating who is behind in their water bills…violates confidentiality. Is there no moral integrity, let alone professionalism from her office at city hall? Which brings up why would you want to pay anyrhing at city hall anyway as it is such a pain because the clerk will not let you write one check for the license and water bill, no you have to write two separate ones. Oh yes, if you going to pay the dog license and water bill, yep you have to write two checks. Thank gawd city hall doesn’t run a restaurant, it would be “no, a check for your coffee and one for your meal”. Lord help you, if there are four people because now that would be eight checks! My favorite is when you have one page copied, the clerk writes you a receipt for 10 cents then walks over to the copier and copys the 10 cent receipt? I go to the county treasurer’s office, I can pay my property taxes and car registration with one check. My friends that live in other towns, don’t have this problem, they get their fees bundled and write one check. Fromberg tho, we’re so uptown it’s become brain surgery…it’s too complicated!!! At least that’s what they try to sell you!! Common sense, courtesy, professionalism with customer service is expected from City Hall but they are falling far short unless you want gossip and scandal then it’s over loaded!
Went to Carbon County Treasures office today signed off on three car titles. The gentleman who notarized the titles was extremely professional took like two minutes and did not charge me a dime. Oh and the best part, I didn’t have to explain why or what I was doing. Then I popped over to the Clerk and Recorders office picked up some copies they looked up on their computer. Yes, I was charged but only given a receipt if I wanted one. The best part no one was talking about my business when I left. City Hall could learn a couple tips. I think I will have to attend a County Commissioners Meeting. I doubt they are run as unprofessionally as ours. By the way, they are new at their jobs as well, so that excuse is invalid! I wonder if you hear from them “Well they’ve never been to a commissioner meeting!” Would also note their minutes are posted on their web page and the newspaper too.
