Aren’t ball fields supposed to be “safe spaces” for children to play? Adding children to the pictures below is a recipe for disaster! Notice the damage to the asphalt! Looks like heavily loaded trucks drove over it to offload washed rock. Who’s going to pay for THIS damage? Who’s liable if some child is hurt playing “King of the Mountain” here? Doesn’t ANYONE at Town Hall use forethought? This isn’t rocket science!
Who in their supposed right mind allowed this??? Shame on you, for no thought process whatsoever. Typical for Fromberg City Hall. First off, we have a previous mayor making bank on the new sewer lagoon project as the construction company is parking equipment there and not on any property the City owns. By the way, a previous 2017 mayoral candidate has entered into a contact to sell the old mayor’s property where the construction equipment sits. Then, let’s trash the city ball field park while we’re at it! And just at the time of year where we use it HEAVILY for soft ball leagues!This gravel could have been dumped where they are paying the big bucks to park it. If you want to give some hog wash about the gravel needs to be uncontaminated, it’s called a LINER! Construction companies use them ALL the time. This Company should have pre-planned these situations beforehand, including them in their bidding process! It’s bad enough that the only money put into our parks is for basic maintenance which only includes mowing and watering. The past and current administrations have failed to invest in the youth of our town by neglecting to fund new park improvements. Playground Equipment was put in 20+years ago, and new baseball dugouts put in during the past 10 years. City Hall didn’t pay for either one! Upgrades were done through donations of sweat equity and cash donations! This ain’t rocket science! Just regular park maintenance allowing Fromberg to invest in our YOUTH! Not even to the measly tune of $500 a year? And they wonder “why do we have so much crime and Meth use in our little berg?” DUH!
This shows no thought or respect for the citizens of Fromberg! Absolute disregard and incompetence by the public official that gave her consent for THIS to take place. Its time for GROUP DECISIONS to be made at City Hall!!! Decisions need to be competent and well thought out! Poor choices and poor decisions affect us all! As usual one moron (mayor) makes a choice and we pay!
