How are softball leagues supposed to play here? School is out soon! How can children possibly be safe in this environment? Is there NO oversight in Fromberg? Per time stamped photographic documentation even MORE damage has been done to the asphalt! Look at those ruts! Who’s going to pay for the repair of all this damage? Who is liable in the event someone is hurt in this quagmire?

As stated, the tennis courts are in the process of being repaired. The ball field (this isn’t the ball field) will be mowed and cleaned up . As there are not any leagues or players signed up to use the ball field this year ( according to a very reliable source), the town is looking to find other uses for that area. We need to vamp the whole area and make a more useful and viable area for everyone to use. We also have to take into account the right of way of the railroad and weigh station, who I believe has that property to the fence line. The property adjacent to the ball field has a good stand of nice grass hay on it, it wold be nice to find someone to cut, bale it and use it. So many plans on our plates this summer. Priority # one is get 1st street dug and repaired right, fill pot holes, add new services, training on the lagoon system, mapping water meters and curb boxes, weeds , clean up, and getting streets repaired & alleys leveled. I believe we can do it, the guys are eager and ready to get to work. We have equipment, yes, but when you have crap that breaks down frequently and have to spend time and money for repairs the going gets slow. Yes we got all the equipment at a very low price and I will say that the former pwd worked to save money. But the cost for shipping and $$$ in repairs has cost us a lot also. The roller we acquired, was a waste of money, as it is used for full lanes, when what we need was a smaller one that would do the job better. All of these projects will get done and done right. And then we will start again next year and do more improving. We have already had a lot of good comments about the pwd and the Sheriffs Office. We have applied for and already received extra funding through the funding of extra gas tax monies passed by the legislature and will receive more. We have had conference calls with the Economic Development Office concerning the Program Income Fund, that has been in the towns accounts for twenty + years, and hopefully we can use that for main-street improvements. Patience & support is needed, not constant derogatory & slanderous statements, and continuous demands.
