Help! Am I losing my mind??? Aren’t garden sheds supposed to be 6 feet off of our property lines? What happened? Did the town fathers grant McKenzie 11 additional feet down his entire property line? That lot is 140 feet long! Quite the free increase of the size of his property! I want that perk too! And Missy Mayor is worried about ordinances? REALLY??? Stupidity in action! I suppose this will take four more executive sessions!! In which McKenzie will be allowed to keep his garden shed where it stands while discriminating against the rest of us… The biggest problem in Fromberg is the peanut-sized brain running City Hall and making us look like a three ring circus. Let’s back a little. Before this mckezie fiasco we had the barley field one. That
Was to be revisited per the. Mayor’s words. Then the city atty could not make it to the meetings and this was swept away. Why? Well 1O acres ÷4 =40 1/4 acre lots. At 10,000 per lot with power water sewer on site =400,000 were we had? McKenzie lot 7,500 sq ft , 1/4 acre is just short of 1400]sq ft.Hope you can remember back when the now mayor as council woman made the motion to sell it despite our objections. Then followed with allowing this mckenzie project to go thru!!!! The city atty allowed this to happen to cover the town and mayors butts. The permit was not from the owner of record [illegal] the owner is responsible for meeting codes and set backs this was not done [illegal] but our city atty has sat back allowed this all to happen????? It would seem to me that the people of fromberg like to take it where it hurts. Why else would you just bend over?? Good luck and May the force be with you.
Scott thanks for your insight! Brings up another point. The Mayor made the motion to sell the barley field. Please note she was also on the zoning committee two years prior to that. The existing zoning codes were not adhered to. The wrong section of the barley field was sold. Again another double standard. Again, the town council ignored it’s own ordinances! Allowing certain individuals to slide on certain ordinances and throwing the book at other folks is deplorable. Several weed notices were sent out the first of November with a threat of a $250.00 fine. But build 11 feet over your property line by 50 linear feet and get granted a variance! Have a few scraggly weeds and get fined $250. All while the Town of Fromberg hasn’t mowed the remaining section of the barley field it still owns! Talk about defying logic! FYI it’s a simple fix. Go to Laurel. Rent a brush hog or contract the job out, like you do everything else in this town. You know, like you do for city maintenance, a city clerk hourly position and now Wonder Ordinance Audrey who warehouses out of city hall. How can anyone in their right mind justify any of this?!! That might be the key question here. How do they look in the mirror everyday knowing they allow these types of situations to continue? I now understand why people say this mayor is just as bad or worse than the last mayor, and thats saying something!
