Seems TOF has more “Special Meetings” than “Regular Meetings”…

“How many special meetings does it take to run a small town”? This sounds like the opening line for a North Dakota joke! We have now had twice as many special meetings versus “regular” meetings. This shows incompetent leadership, lack of oversight and utter disrespect to the citizens of Fromberg! This makes it impossible for us, as citizens, to stay informed and up-to-date on the public dealings City Hall performs! The website is still not up and running. One year after the current mayor took office! Inexcusable and reprehensible! The majority of us don’t have this much free time on our hands to attend this many meetings! The meeting minutes are lacking in detail. Too much of the verbal communication spoken is not being presented at these meetings! Not to mention, these special meetings are generally not video taped. My, how convenient! This system must stop! It’s oppressive and underhanded. Unfair to the citizens of Fromberg, you know, the same ones you swore an oath to? Out of control and dilutional! Welcome to Fromberg Town Hall.
Looking forward to another long year of suffering with stupidity in it’s highest form!! Not. The city Judge issue has now been discussed at three separate meetings. Two of those meetings completely lacked any pertinent information. Why call a meeting or even put it on the agenda without the information needed to make an informed decision? Mayors should be aware of upcoming contracts and cognizant of the necessary information to fulfill them. Watch the video! The Judge has to explain in detail the duties of her job. The Mayor is in charge of all employees. She should have been up to speed about the Judge’s contract details long before now! After nearly a year in office, Shirley Miller still lacks leadership, attention-to -detail, and responsible oversight! Mayor Miller, this is the equivalent of showing up to class without your homework! Another complete fail! Perhaps an appointment to a tattoo parlour is in order. We could all chip in. Your motto in ink! “Screwing up is what I do BEST!“
Sorry the dog ate my home work.
Bad dog! Legitimately if it ate the Mayor, that would be viable!
Poor doggy. After a chomp like that he’d need antiseptic mouthwash and a rabies shot.
This Judge contract situation should have transpired in one meeting if the party in charge was compentent in doing their job. That means the Council would have been given a packet with a detailed list of what the Judge’s duties include, and the average amount of time spent on each one. Along with options where changes could be made to possibly save money. All of this should have been done before ever calling a meeting or placing it on the agenda! This is part of any employer’s duty. The fact that this has been so poorly handled shows utter disrespect to those you represent, along with members of the Council! Let alone the Judge! You haven’t given them the tools they need to make informed decisions. The Council may have the power of the vote but ultimately, we the public, will hold you Mayor Miller, accountable…because you failed in your duty…again.
Hi. Are you using WordPress for your site platform? I’m new to the blog world but I’m trying to get started and set up my own. Do you require any coding knowledge to make your own blog? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Fiona! Yes we do indeed use WordPress.org. And host with Hostgator. WordPress doesn’t require coding per se, and is very user friendly. We have however found Hogan Chua’s several YouTube videos to be most helpful! He’s a brainiac! Carry on! You’ll figure this whole blog thing out! There definitely is a learning curve tho! Thanks and Best Wishes!
