Counties Affected: Carbon, MT; Stillwater, MT; Sweet Grass, MT
The National Weather Service in Billings has expanded the Flood Watch to include a portion of south central Montana, including the following counties: Carbon, Stillwater and SweetGrass. From Monday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. Widespread rainfall is expected across the region the next several days. Periods of heavier precipitation are expected tonight through Tuesday morning. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rainfall is possible which may lead to flooding of smaller creeks and streams.
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts. You should monitor the latest forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
