The bridge connecting Main Street and the Joliet Fromberg Road in Joliet is closed due to a sink hole at the bridge abutment. The hole measures 15×5 feet and is 4 feet in depth. The county will temporarily repair the hole as quickly as possible but engineering and permitting will be required to fix the subsidence long term. The hole was caused by erosion underneath the bridge abutment most likely due to prolonged high water in Rock Creek. Please check back for updates. Information provided by Carbon County Alert.
I’m wondering if Fromberg City Council is still so sure of securing their grant money? Pretty sure a compromised county bridge trumps any potential claims Fromberg might have! The non-existent logic that comes out of City Hall is incredible! The mayor tries to persuade the council into hiring our part time maintenance man to full time. Not taking into consideration a slew of infrastructure items that have not been addressed. Remember the non-functioning fire hydrants? City Hall needs to get there incapable act together!

How about the old budget? Notice PWD got the blower Jeremy wanted. Last we heard the blower purchase was tabled. Hmmm. How about the new budget? Most towns in Carbon County have finalized theirs. Fromberg hasn’t even had one budget workshop. Hmmm. And that Kristen Sweet. Is she being paid an hourly wage? What is it? Or is she being paid as contract labor like Janet Free and Audrey Walleser? Speaking of Audrey and the current Mayor. Haven’t heard a peep outta either one of ya. Why is that? Isn’t this an election year? One would think you both would be out in the community campaigning.
