Why would any grant writer or any lender even consider lending any amount of money to a town that overspent last year’s budget by $77,000. Pipe dreams. Fiscal Irresponsility to the max!
Sounds great to get a grant but at what price? To think we already have City Hall dipping into water and sewer funds to pay for other things when we pay outrageous amounts for those services! I do remember the statement “Water and Sewer pays for everything we do”. Dumb and illegal! That came from a council member. So if you think you want to up our bill some more under the guise of a water project to spend it on other uses? You may find yourself walking a tightrope without a net as we’re a little feed up with your fiscal irresponsibility and out and out lies! It funny how this council is fast to judge past administrations for their actions but will not take accountability for their own! The over-milling and overspending in the current administration has be astronomical!
Well said Jim. The fact none of these individuals have taken the time to publicly apologize, take responsibility for their actions and act as if they are justified in the process tells me not one of these individuals is worthy of my vote. I don’t vote for crooks!
Elton Kirtley for Mayor! He took an unpopular stand and stuck with it! The council repeatedly bashed him for continuing to ask questions. Now we learn there are only 9 fire hydrants on the east side of town? I never understood why the family of the elderly man who perished in a fire down there didn’t sue. Now we find out the town of Fromberg was probably liable!
If you don’t think Tolliver law firm isn’t watching City Hall’s actions you would have to be an unintelligent, mindless, dimwitted, peabrain. So you get a zoning application. Not one of you check the plat map right behind you. Noone goes to view the property. Noone take measurements. Then you approve the zoning application. I would call those negligent actions. Can’t you just see this playing out in front of a jury? The only one who had any brains on this action, was the Clerk Jan when she told the client it may be the next meeting before it was approved. In order to give council time to view the property. You would think after McKenzie Mayor and Council might take their duties seriously. We should go back to the special meeting of March 2018 when Mayor goes off on what the duties are of those on the zoning committee.
