Voting is not only a right, but a privilege. If you vote for rhetoric and not facts, what you actually get just rhetoric.
Unfortunately, people fall into gossip and negativity, instead of facts. And for reasons most of us don’t understand, as exhibited in the last few years, gossip and negativity are more exiting and interesting than fact. That is just life.
It doesn’t matter what Town you are in in Carbon County, when you mention you are living in Fromberg, they look like they swallowed a sour pickle. They wouldn’t live here because of the hate and discontent. It is a sad state of affairs when a small community of so many great people has to bear that kind of reputation, because of a few soreheads.
Thanks to everyone who voted, whoever you voted for, at least you did vote.
The Town of Fromberg is my home, it is a wonderful community filled with good people who would like to see it
improve. Working together instead of against each other would be a major improvement for everyone.
If you agree or disagree, reasonable solutions can be met , with reasonable communication.
Again Thank You, for your support for the Town of Fromberg.

And you call yourself a leader? This post shows what a true divisionist you really are! And, this in essence is your acceptance speech? Deplorable!
Comedy Central! Reasonable communication? Really? Watch a Town Council meeting. Two thirds of the time it’s all about Miller! Then she is great at talking over or interrupting anyone she has an issue with… Mayor Miller, it might enlighten you to know that it’s not gossip when all of us can watch it on YouTube! It’s called documentation! Divisiveness was shown when you read the correspondence from the school. You showed nothing but contempt for short comings that were your responsibility! Ones you failed to address prior to the project… Which is Mayor Miller’s general technique! Blame others for her actions or the outcomes of her failed actions. One with a true leadership skill set would look at that vote and say “I’ve got work to do, I have to earn people’s trust and respect, I have to serve the people”. Instead it’s implied those that didn’t vote her way are soreheads and gossips. How professional!
Call the Carbon County Elections Office. There were 105 residents that voted. So if Mayor Miller thinks she is not divisive, think again! Two thirds of the people who actually even voted in this election did not vote for Mayor Miller! That’s a fact! So by Mayor Miller’s statements made in her Facebook post, she is implying two thirds of the voters are nothing but gossips and negative individuals who offer nothing to the town? It sure sounds as if she takes issue with those who don’t follow in her path! Maybe it would be wise for the Mayor revaluate her stance and her words.
Was there anyone besides Mr Feller whom may have gotten some write-in votes that were not publicized?
If not, Ms Miller can thank her lucky stars that he did not file because if he had SHE would be one of us- relying on the Advocate to see what goes on at the meetings.
2/3s of the voters voted for one guy who couldn’t legally hold the office and another who didn’t WANT the office!
I wonder how she feels about that?
i’m on Nunya’s team! what a pair of councilmen to choose from.
Are you joking? Reasonable communication? Have you viewed a council meeting? It’s Shirley Miller flapping her jaws nonstop…It’s all about her as she knows best! It would help if the Mayor understood or even grasped the concept of communication skills. You and the council might want to google it for a better understanding. There are about ten to twenty skill sets to practice in order to master effective communication. The most important skill is listening with a open mind, and being willing to hear what is being said! View YouTube! Mayor Miller as your a far cry from mastering step one.
Watching the vids of the meeting and reading Miller’s post I see quite the contradiction as usual to the communication thing she puts out. When you are feeling that you are so accomplished and so smart and so far beyond every one else, i suppose thinking that if they were only just as great as I am they would agree with me and my problems would go away. There would be no more sore heads and gossips. I can’t see how she truly believes that. Narcissistic to a fault. Looking in the mirror won’t help. She will only see greatness and maybe stapledumb. When town hall labels a community advocacy group “THE MOB” and the city atty seeks the identity of its members for some unknown purpose, a group based on FACTS not gossip, then who is the sorehead? Who is creating the divisions and why? Alot of people love sour pickles.
Scott well said. I am one of the mob and Miller was very involved with that group until she was elected mayor with the group’s backing. We were fooled and believed all the b’s she fed us. I wish we had vids of those meetings. Then you could see how she said she could do everything she has not done. She has disavowed the advocacy group. I can now be labeled a gossip but there are a lot of people who know the truth.
