BREAKING NEWS…Mackenzie Lawsuit Settled…

Due to the fact that no “official” audio and/or video transcript is available from TOF’s 5.1.2020 “Town Council Meeting, tfa is only able to paint in broad strokes results of said meeting. Basically, TOF Council Members voted unanimously to accept Mackenzie’s offer to settle the Mackenzie vs. TOF lawsuit by paying TOF the total sum of $2000 which includes the cost of the preparation of an easement to their property at 21 First Avenue, Fromberg, Montana. In return Mackenzies agree to withdraw their lawsuit from the Montana Supreme Court. Said easement allows Mackenzie’s 2030 square feet pole barn (which encroaches on over 500 square feet of “A” Street) to remain as long as it exists. Mayor Miller generally stated the easement is to follow the land. tfa notes the cost alone for Red Lodge Surveying to prepare the boundary survey was in excess of $1000. Stay tuned for further details as soon as they become available.

Update: tfa is able to provide this portion of the audio that comes directly after the Mayor and Town Council came out of Executive Session. Audio only You.Tube link follows: https://youtu.be/WObeobUFy7I
