With regard to the following direct quote by Mayor Shirley Miller: “Of course we haven’t had a meeting for a couple of months”., tfa asks the Mayor to explain the legality of that statement. How have Fromberg’s ongoing governmental obligations been accomplished? Have secret meetings been held in order to allow the Town of Fromberg to perform its prescribed duties? Every other incorporated town within Carbon County, Montana has continued regular monthly meetings by implementing various Covid-19 safety contact restrictions.
tfa queries how is it possible that current town clerk has been there for two years when she was not even hired until October, 18, 2018 per the following photograph? tfa’s previously posted link follows: http://the-fromberg-advocacy.com/case-in-point-another-tof-special/. If the Town Clerk has indeed been on vacation, why doesn’t the Notice pictured below indicate that; rather than: “TOWN CLERK WILL BE IN PERIODICALLY FROM MONDAY, AUGUST 3, 2020 THROUGH AUGUST 16, 2020”. What about truthful noticing practices? tfa further queries, when did the TOF Council vote to authorize said clerk’s 2 week vacation?
Shirley Miller: “Keith Thomas McElhaney Mr. McElhaney, You know that we do have a Town Hall. Of course we haven’t had a meeting for a couple of months. Two + weeks we shut down due to exposure of COVID-19, The last two weeks out Town Clerk took her much needed vacation. Before you ponce on that , in two years she has not taken that vacation… it is use it or lose it. In the past vacation was just carried over, according to Labor Law, we can’t do that. And as far as the page you are touting, it is akin to some of the sites recently put up in Red Lodge”. Time/date stamped photographic documentation below, proving the above quote.
