Mayor Shirley Miller’s Direct Facebook Quote Regarding “…. , I will be t Town Hall today after lunch.” ie: Fromberg, MT…

tfa queries why Mayor Shirley Miller’s direct quote: “If anyone needs something, I will be t Town Hall today after lunch.” (very limited temporary hours) is not posted at TOF’s 3 designated posting areas, nor on TOF’s official website: http://www.fromberg-mt.com/home?

How can the Town clerk be on a 2 week vacation, but also be in the Town Hall office “PERIODICALLY” and/or “sporadically”? Is the Town Clerk being compensated for both her vacation time as well as for any hours she might work during the same time frame at Town Hall? Additionally, how is the clerk’s vacation time and/or pay being accrued, used and subsequently ultimately allocated?

Town of Fromberg Employees are members of: Montana Public Employees’ Reitrement System (PERS). PERS requires strict adherence to their specific mandates regarding any/all employee accrued employee pay and benefits.

  1. Shirley Miller: “Keith Thomas McElhaney Thank You for that. With this virus, all training classes are on the website. If anyone needs something, I will be t Town Hall today after lunch. The Town Clerk is in the office sporadically until the end of the week”.

  1. Looks like the ole mayor tippled a wee bit too much grape before posting on Facebook. Me thinks her n Pelosi had early liquid lunch libations. Why isnt anyone calling this msyors behavior to the carpet?

  2. Mayor Miller you’re an IDIOT to think we would believe a word you spoke! If your lips are moving you’re lying! All those hours the clerks put in, do you have verification? Did you pay her overtime? If not I hope you are aware that it’s illegal….. You should recall that your attorney advised you as much, not that you ever heeded legal council’s advice before. Your arrogance has cost us all !!! Please! If someone has a dirty sock take the time to cram it in the Mayor’s mouth! At least then there would be an excuse for the smelly garbage that spews from it!

  3. My gawd! Can someone explain how much kissing butt one employee needs? I guess the clerk’s got the goods on old Miller!

  4. No one said the clerk was not entitled to her vacation time. Although previously every Mayor before has stepped up to the plate and made sure the office was open for several hours a day. And those hours were responsibly posted well in advance. It’s called running a business. It’s called your civic duty if you signed up for the job of Mayor. Although there’s a lack of comprehension from our so called Mayor when it comes to practical business sense. Or any other sense. Except well, she can talk you senseless.
