Also included on the page directly above, why if the “Maintenence and Repair” under “Public Works Sewer ADM” for the 2019-2020 Budget was listed as $100,000, and the Actual amount spent was $1991, then why would TOF Budget $60,000 for FY 2019-2020? The taxpayers and utility users of Fromberg certainly deserve an answer to these questions.
This Excel spreadsheet is a disgrace. Given the fact that the clerk has received a $2.50 hourly raise and can’t preform simple task proves another poor fiscal decision made by the Council. If you bother to check the revenues and expenditures, they must be placed in a line somewhere above the total column. They just can’t magically appear in the total column. Although, the Town clerk, who is clueless, did exactly that! Try figuring out the water portion, and how the revenues and expenditures are randomly placed. This so called budget is a logistical nightmare. The fact that the June 2020 financial year ended with $412,387.33 total and the June 2021 fiscal year ends with $240,447.33 screams incompetence! Its not that, we the public, don’t understand governmental accounting, rather its the fact thar the Clerk didn’t produce an accurate and comprehensive Excel spreadsheet! When you overinflate expenditures, you are not creating an accurate budget. Remember, moving figures and overinflating costs has been the downfall of many a company. The over inflation of wages is absolutely irresponsible! Why is it, we paid alot of $ for budgeting software last year which the Clerk is unable to use, and then all she produces is an unworksble Excel spreadsheet? Another waste of hard earned taxpayer dollars! This is unacceptable! Miller and Company, if you think the State Auditor’s office is going to check every single budget, line by line, then you have lost it! Had that been the case, Fromberg taxpayers never would have been overmilled in the first place! We wouldn’t have to paid Kristen Sweet all that money to fix several years of budget errors. We wouldn’t have had to pay Joliet’s clerk to hand hold our incompetent clerk this year! Just more ineptitude from Miller’s administration that Fromberg can’t afford!
