Maybe you need to do some research there is no ordinance stating it even has to be posted online.
I would suggest you have some history… the council purchased the Town Web Page with tax dollars and to keep citizens informed. Furthermore, to aid and accommodate residents that don’t have access to the Town Hall because of jobs, travel, or mobility issues. Its purpose is to provide access to those taxpayers! Though it may not be in an ordinance, a history of postings demonstrates its intended purpose.
It is not in an ordinance does not define one’s duties in a job. Should you really want to split hairs on this issue? Maybe you could explain work appropriate? Because clearly the clerk aka “Salt Bitch” doesn’t comprehend it.
Hahaha now the coffee cup in being brought into this. What’s next? Your so concerned that she doesn’t do her job correctly, why haven’t you put in for that position? Since you seem to be the master key board warrior hidden behind your computer. Can’t even use your own name. This website is a joke, worse then Facebook. Bunch of bitchy people with nothing better to do then hide behind the computer
everyone is allowed privacy.
Huh? What’s this got to with privacy? It’s a meeting cancelation notice?
By posting this on the official Town Web Page, this is a courtesy, to inform the public that there is no meeting. Most governmental agencies post their agendas and latest happenings on their official website for transparency and respect. We live in the day of technology and many of our residents work outside the city limits. This is a means of communication to those residents. It’s clearly trying to protect citizens of their constitutional right to participate in government. Do you have any idea how many times residents have cleared their schedules to attend a meeting, and it didn’t happen? Or the date was posted incorrectly? It’s a matter of professionalism…this is afterall a governmental agency!!!
The only thing that needs to be said is due to extenuating circumstance the meeting is canceled. Due to privacy issues we will not be commenting. This meeting will be rescheduled at a later date.
