Carbon County Public Meeting Focusing on Flood Recovery * Wednesday 11.29.2023 – 6:30PM * Fromberg School * 319 School Street * Fromberg, MT

“The Carbon County Commissioners will host a public meeting focusing on flood recovery Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fromberg School, 319 School Street in Fromberg. Those affected by the 2022 flood are invited to attend, ask questions and share concerns.

Flood recovery updates will be presented by local, state and federal agency reps. There will be a panel discussion on how the debris removal process has made sense for river flow and how that may impact riverfront property.

Learn about recovery work to-date including debris removal projects, and hear what work is yet to be done last month of the contract. Following the panel discussion, residents can ask questions and share concerns regarding the process.

Confirmed agencies attending include officials from City of Red Lodge, MT Disaster and Emergency Services (DES), Department of Natural Resources and Conservation (DNRC),  County and City Floodplain Administrators, and Carbon Conservation District (CCD).

Invitations have been sent, but not yet confirmed, to Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE), Town of Fromberg (emphasis added), MT Department of Transportation (MDT), MT Dept of Environmental Quality (DEQ) as well as the Clarks Fork Yellowstone Partnership.

Said meeting will also be available via Skype. TOF has yet to learn and appreciate the value of offering virtual meetings. The technology is free and the residents and taxpayers of Fromberg deserve a virtual option. The Public Has a Right to Know!

  1. So haters. How cum we never see posts like this at Town Hall s website? And as usual Mayor Inc hasn’t even rsvped to the commish to attend. All you ‘wokes’ wake up and smell the coffee. Their ain’t none. Just like their ain’t no leadership or concern for taxpayer $. Youall bash folks who use common sense and use the 1st amendment to says what they think this is still america I be thinking.

  2. Fromberg Town Hall posted this November 28… Mr. Mayor Nottingham should be ashamed of not keeping the public notified. All I can say is thank gaud Carbon County Commissioners, and Carbon County DES doesn’t conduct business in this fashion. It would be interesting to know how many residents from Fromberg failed to attend this meeting because the town or Mayor didnt notify them. Was the Council even notified of the meeting?
